Emergency shelter during harsh winters can save lives. Weld’s Way Home partners with Catholic Charities to provide emergency cold weather shelter at the Housing Navigation Center in Evans.
The cold weather shelter opens on November 7th and is open to single men and single women (18+) until April 15th. Cold weather shelter hours are from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily. For eligibility questions please call Catholic Charities at (970) 353-6433 or (970) 353-3720 or visit the 2-1-1 Database. Identification is required; this includes any document that has the person’s name and DOB, including letters from referring agencies, churches, or community partners.
Please refer families and youth to the Guadalupe Community Center.
Do have a few hours to spare to serve the homeless in Weld County? The cold weather shelter is seeking volunteers to plate and serve an evening meal at the cold weather shelter. To sign up or to get more information, please contact Steven McLaughlin @ 970-616-8606 or SMcLaughlin@CCDenver.org. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact with those experiencing homelessness and an excellent way to serve with your family, friends, church group, student group or co-workers!
